A Personal Approach to World News: DocZone

Through my work in the press industry I have become used to seeing distressing images and even having to take them, but this year’s Golden Sheaf winner for Documentary History even brought a tear to my eye.  CBC’s DocZone: China’s Earthquake – The People in the Pictures, takes viewers onto the ground of the 2008 earthquake in China’s Sichuan Province.  By focusing on four key people’s stories director Susan Teskey shows the Canadian audience a new more personal insight into an international news event.

If this ten minute clip draws you in CBC offers the full episode on their website.
